Institute of Industrial and Forage Crops (IIFC) The Institute of Industrial and Forage Crops consists of the Department of Soil-water Resources and the Department of Plant Production. Its activities briefly include:
a. Plant nutrition
b. Study of soil factors that determine the soil’s ability to provide nutrients
c. Development of new management practices with the aim of attaining sustainable agriculture
d. Development and optimization of new breeding protocols using crossbreeding techniques, plant physiology, biotechnology, etc.).
Consulting services to public and private sector entities.
The Institute of Industrial and Forage Crops has participated, as coordinator or partner, in a large number of international and national research projects.

The Cooperative Farmers of Thessaly “THESGI” started the collective effort of the year 2013 where a group of young producers had as a vision of the common understanding of the daily agricultural challenges, reduce the cost of production, ensuring the direct marketing of their products in the market and the creation of economies of scale.
Among THESGI services is the implementation of “Precision Agriculture” programs for the reduction of production costs and the maximization of yields.
The “Precision Agriculture” programs applied to all types of crops reinforce the members’ view that the development of crops through new technologies can be a serious competitive advantage for agricultural production.
FARMERS COOPERATIVE “FARSALON GI” The Agricultural Cooperative “Farsalon Gi” was founded on the initiative of farmers from the area of Farsala, the place where agricultural activity has a history of thousands of years and is intertwined with the life and traditions of its inhabitants.
The main concern of the Cooperative is to serve and defend the interests of the farmers and breeders of the Farsala region.
The goal of the Cooperative is the long-term course of our cooperation with farmers and breeders based on timeless values, for sustainable development.
The vision of the Agricultural Cooperative is to ensure the sustainability of agricultural holdings with respect for people and the environment.
